Hickory Little Zinger Spanking Paddle
Hickory
is another wood you don't come across every day, but it is
a hard wood and has a distinctive, lovely grain.
The
wood in this toy is its natural color for I haven't applied any stain,
but I have given it several coats of non-yellowing lacquer
after
much careful
sanding.
All of the
edges
are rounded, as
are all
my paddles.
Hickory is not as heavy a wood as oak or ash, so these paddles feel much lighter in my hand. I'm told that the sensation on impact is very sting-y and less thuddy than the oak and ash paddles. You can really perfect your aim with this paddle--it puts the zing exactly where you want it!
